Wilford M. Farnsworth, III (Marty)
Wilford M. Farnsworth, III (Marty) is one of the founders of IBC Holdings, LLC (“IBC”). Prior to his involvement with IBC, Mr. Farnsworth’s distinguished real estate career includes establishing and leading an international real estate consulting firm and two decades of experience in industrial real estate development including co-founding a regional development company.
Mr. Farnsworth founded Excel Advisory Group, LLC in 1994. Excel is a real estate advisory firm that specializes in providing acquisition, due diligence and various asset management services to a number of the nation’s leading real estate companies including Regency Centers, The Carlyle Group, ProLogis Trust, CarrAmerican Realty Corporation and Glenborough Realty Trust. Through an affiliated company, Excel Advisory Limited, Excel has recently expanded its’ services to Europe. Through his work with Excel, Mr. Farnsworth has become familiar with real estate markets and real estate professionals throughout the country. Since 1994, Excel has advised its clients on acquisitions in the United States, Mexico and Europe exceeding $15 billion in value.
Mr. Farnsworth is a co-founder of MainSpring Capital Group, formerly FBR Investments, LLC (“MainSpring”). MainSpring is a closely held Arizona-based real estate development company focusing principally on the development and acquisition of general purpose industrial buildings in Arizona.
MainSpring and its principals have purchased or developed assets with valuations in excess of $100 million ranging from a master-planned residential and golf community to office and industrial buildings/parks in Arizona and Utah.
Prior to his involvement with Excel and MainSpring, Mr. Farnsworth was a partner with Trammell Crow Company in Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Denver. As the Phoenix industrial partner, Mr. Farnsworth developed and/or acquired over 3.5 million square feet of industrial facilities.
Mr. Farnsworth received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University in 1976 and an MBA from Harvard University in 1980. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, Marci and their three children.
Brian C. Mott
Brian C. Mott
Brian C. Mott is one of the founders of IBC Holdings, LLC (“IBC”). Prior to his involvement with IBC, Mr. Mott’s broad real estate career included both corporate and entrepreneurial endeavors throughout Europe and North America in both office and industrial real estate.
Most recently, Mr. Mott was a Managing Director with Security Capital European Realty (“SC-Europe”). Mr. Mott joined Security Capital Group in 1998 as Chief Investment Officer for its fledgling European operations, focusing on continental based acquisition and development activities. SC-Europe was created to make significant strategic investments in start-up or existing private or public real estate operating companies whose objective was to become market leaders in their respective product and geographic niches. During his tenure, total market capitalization for SC-European Realty grew to in excess of $1.5 billion.
For three years prior to his involvement with SC-Europe, Mr. Mott established and led Kearn Creek Holdings, LLC. During that period, Kearn Creek purchased or developed assets with valuations in excess of $100 million mostly in southern California and Colorado.
In 1992, Mr. Mott initially joined Security Capital Group, SC-European Realty’s parent company and 35% shareholder, as a start-up company. Mr. Mott held a variety of positions in the company and participated in the formation and start-up of ProLogis, now the leading global provider of integrated distribution facilities and services. During his tenure with ProLogis (then known as Security Capital Industrial), Mr. Mott was an early and key player on a team responsible for expanding assets under ownership from approximately $40 million to over $2 billion in a 3-year period.
Prior to Security Capital Group, Mr. Mott was a Managing Director and Senior Partner with Trammell Crow Company in Los Angeles, a firm he joined in 1981. He was one of six partners on the Southern California Executive Committee responsible for the overall performance and profitability of a $2 billion real estate portfolio and $20 million annual operating budget. He was responsible for the development of some of southern California’s premier industrial, office and retail properties valued at more than $250 million.
Mr. Mott received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1981. He resides in Colorado with his wife, Karen, and their four children.
Brian S. Heinze
Brian joined IBC Holdings in December of 2012 as a Construction Manager. He brings over fifteen years of experience managing the construction, design and development of commercial and residential real estate properties.
Prior to joining the IBC team Brian was a Project Manager with commercial real estate developer Jordon Perlmutter & Co., a Construction Defect and Customer Service Manager for Richmond American Homes and worked with G4S Technology building fiber optic and cellular networks.
Brian holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University, a Bachelors of Architecture from Arizona State University and a Colorado Real Estate Broker’s License.
He lives in Evergreen, CO with his wife Julie and their two dogs.
Mark L. Berry
Mark L. Berry
Mark joined IBC Holdings in June 2012 to spearhead the launch of IBC’s new property management division, IBC Property Services. In his role as Senior Property Manager, Mark works with our team of asset managers, construction managers, architects, engineers, and vendors to develop flexible, affordable solutions for our tenants, clients, and investors.
Mark brings proven leadership and a true understanding of an owner’s perspective gained through his 31 year track record in property management featuring experience from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Colorado Springs, Colorado. He understands the value of strong tenant relations and works tirelessly to ensure tenant satisfaction. He responds quickly to tenant concerns, and communicates clearly, consistently and professionally. Mark is actively involved in the review of properties, annual budgets, monthly accounts receivable, and other owner aspects of the properties being managed.
Prior to his involvement with IBC, Mark was Vice President and Senior Property Manager at Cassidy Turley Commercial Real Estate Services, leading a management team with a portfolio of commercial, retail and office assets in Denver. Mark was widely recognized as a top Property Manager at Cassidy Turley due to consistently high scores from tenant surveys and positive client feedback. He has worked with organizations such as CalPERS, First Washington Realty, First State Bank, Westwood Development and Kimco Realty, to name a few.
Mark attended Metro State College and maintains his Real Property Administrator (RPA) and System Maintenance Technician (SMT) designations from BOMA as well as his Colorado Broker License. He lives in Denver with his wife Michelle and enjoys spending time with his three daughters and three grandchildren.
Karen Mott joined IBC Holdings as an Executive Assistant in 2009. At the launch of IBC’s property management subsidiary, IBC Property Services, she moved into the role of Senior Accountant in charge of property accounting for IBC and third-party Denver-based portfolios.
Karen began her career as a CPA with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. in the Los Angeles, California audit division, specializing in entertainment industry clients. After leaving public accounting, she held the positions of Assistant Controller, Chief Financial Officer, and Consultant in private industry before taking time off to raise her children.
Karen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Southern California. She enjoys living in the foothills of Denver, Colorado with her husband Brian and their four children.
